1:1 Super Replica IWC Pilots Mark XVIII Edition Laureus Sport For Good Watch Review
The limited edition replica IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation ref. IW324703 is restricted to 1,500 pieces and is priced at US$5650 or S$8,650. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this edition will benefit the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
Similar to the standard Mark XVIII, the Laureus edition is powered by the cal. 35111, which is essentially a rebranded Sellita SW300. Additionally, it features a soft iron inner case to protect the movement from magnetic fields, a standard characteristic in IWC pilot’s watches. The timepiece comes with a crosshatch-patterned leather strap.
A distinctive feature of the Laureus edition is the case back engraving, depicting an artwork by a child selected by the foundation. This year’s design was created by an 11-year-old Brazilian girl associated with Instituto Reação, a Laureus-supported organization in Brazil dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children through education and sports, such as judo. As customary, the usual matte black dial has been replaced with a metallic blue one, accompanied by a red-tipped seconds hand for added vibrancy.
This year’s watch for the noble cause is unique, as it is the first Laureus timepiece with a black ceramic case, departing from the traditional stainless steel material. The replica IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation features a glossy black ceramic case measuring 41mm in diameter, identical to the case used in the replica IWC Pilot’s Mark XVIII Miramar.
For over a decade now, 1:1 Super Replica IWC has been unveiling limited editions to raise funds for the Laureus Foundation, a charity dedicated to bringing sports to underprivileged children worldwide. While each year’s Laureus watch differs from the previous one, all share the distinctive black blue metallic dial.
